On August 22, 2021 at approximately 1616 Hrs. the Webster Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of State Route 104 and Basket Road for the reported motor vehicle crash with people trapped. Command arrived and confirmed people trapped in one of the involved vehicles. Command also reported that one of the involved vehicles was well off the roadway into a grassy/tall brush area. A large portion of the intersection was closed as firefighters commenced extrication, stretched a handline, assisted with patient care and mitigated vehicle and scene hazards. Once extricated two patients were transported by ambulance to the hospital. The crash is being investigated by the New York State Police and the Webster Police Department.
