Three Alarm Structure Fire - Coach Sports Bar on West Main Street Webster

On Tuesday, March 18, at 7:53 a.m., the Webster Fire Department was dispatched to reports of
smoke coming from the Coach Sports Bar at 19 West Main Street in Webster. The first chief officers arrived on scene in under a minute and declared a working fire.

First-arriving units initiated an aggressive interior attack, encountering heavy fire conditions on the 1st floor. Mutual aid departments also reported fire extension into the attic space. Additional resources were called to assist with suppression efforts. Truck companies performed vertical ventilation, and interior crews successfully knocked down the fire. The incident was placed under control at 8:43 a.m.

The building sustained significant fire and smoke damage, but no neighboring properties were affected. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Webster Fire Department extends its gratitude to the West Webster Fire Department, Lincoln Fire Department, Ontario Fire Company, Penfield Fire Department, Irondequoit Fire Department, Fairport Fire Department, East Rochester Fire Department, Brighton Fire Department, the Monroe County Fire Bureau, Webster Police Department, Penfield Ambulance, and the Emergency Communications Department (ECD) for their hard work and dedication during this morning’s incident.
