On Monday, January 6, 2025, at the regular business meeting of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department, the Board of Fire Commissioners was honored to present Recognition of Excellence Awards to sixteen members of the WVFD.

Board Chairman Richard Swingly, assisted by the rest of the Board of Fire Commissioners, presided over bestowing Chief Brian Smith and others with a “Recognition of Excellence Award”. This award read as follows:

RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

Bestowed upon the Office of Fire Chief and 2024 Line Officers of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department. In recognition of your overall excellence and outstanding contributions throughout the year and honoring your exceptional teamwork and collaborative spirit contributing to the collective success of the North East Joint Fire District.

In further recognition of your dedication, commitment, and personal sacrifice to fulfill the District’s mission of providing the highest-level emergency services possible to our community in a safe and professional manner.
